Grape Variety: 100% Riesling
Region: Hillsides around the village of Tramin, Termeno in the northernregion of Trentino, Alto Adige.
Vinification: The grapes are lightly pressed and the must is clarified usingnatural sedimentation after which it is fermented at a constant temperatureof 20°C. The wine then spends 5 months in stainless steel at a temperatureof 15°C before bottling.
Characteristics: The wine strongly expresses the terroir of the vineyardlocation around the Barthenau estate at Mazon and the excellent hillsidesites at Tramin. It is a Riesling with powerful personality, great eleganceand harmony. Clear cut, fragrant aromas reminiscent of blueberry togetherwith a persistent aromatic character, powerful and typical on the palatewith well integrated acidity, warm and round. It will develop magnificentlyin bottle and will become more intense and complex after one year.
Serve: chilled to approximately 12°C
