Hugh Hamilton describes himself as the black sheep of his family, however, we’re not sure how this has come about. Hughs family were one of the very early European settlers in South Australia, having planted their first vines in 1837. Five generations of Hamiltons has obviously seen some disagreements fester amongst family members resulting in the Black Sheep tag. Hugh is now attempting to make his family fallout into a positive marketing move.

This wine is very deep in colour with a black centre and deep crimson, brick red hue. Aroma of cedar and ripe blackcurrants. The palate reveals flavours of ripe blackcurrant and spice followed by a hint of mocha, coffee and liquorice. Very good length. Aftertaste of mocha, liquorice and blackcurrant.
