- Closure: Cork
The colour is showing a good deal of development. Brick red colour with brick red hue. Medium body. The nose has good lift, with aroma of spice, leather and strawberry emerging. The palate displays moderate power, with flavours of spice, strawberry, plum and anise. Soft tannins, with a hint of earth and leather on the back palate. Aftertaste of cherry, anise and strawberry jam.
First tasted, August 2004:
Bright brick red colour with brick red hue. Medium body. Aromas of cherry, spice, violets and strawberry, followed by subtle cloves and game character. The palate is impressive with plenty of weight and a real sense of pinot power emerging. On the palate flavours of spice, blackberry and strawberry emerge, over a very spicy back palate. There is a hint of stalk and some anice appearing. Velvet tannins, with long strawberry jam aftertaste.
