Alc/Vol: 13.5%

First tasted, August 2004:
Bright brick red colour with brick red hue. Medium body. Aromas of cherry, spice, violets and strawberry, followed by subtle cloves and game character. The palate is impressive with plenty of weight and a real sense of pinot power emerging. On the palate flavours of spice, blackberry and strawberry emerge, over a very spicy back palate. There is a hint of stalk and some anice appearing. Velvet tannins, with long strawberry jam aftertaste.
