Stephen Henschke produces reds that possess elegance, with a sense of lightness yet filled with flavour. The Euphonium, named after the B flat brass instrument that belonged to his pioneering ancestors, has been made from a blend of 70% Shiraz, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Merlot. Very deep black crimson colour with deep crimson hue. Aroma of ripe plum and cedar followed by notes of leather, spice and blackcurrant. Mouthfilling palate with beautiful balance. Velvet smooth tannins support flavours of blackberry, liquorice, plum, vanilla, cedar and cherry. A delightful drink.

Other Reviews...
A combination of 70% Shiraz, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 10% Merlot aged 18 months in wood (15% new), the 2002 Keyneton Estate boasts impressive intensity, richness, concentration, and aromatics (black currants, licorice, earthy spice, and a hint of wood). A beauty, with a meatiness to its richness and intensity, it should drink well for a decade or more.
