A wonderful expression of primary fruit flavours. The wine has been made from low yielding bush vines and is composed of a blend of 65% Grenache, 22% Mourvedre and 13% Shiraz. Very deep purple mauve colour - an expression of the vines vibrant youth. The nose is a delightful sniff. Notes of spice, liquorice, raspberry, violets and white pepper emerge. The primary fruit flavours on the palate exude Barossa Valley generosity. Fresh liquorice straps are meshed with raspberry, spice, plum and white pepper - very joosy. Velvet smooth tannins, followed by a very persistent aftertaste of liquorice, spice, plum and ink. Extremely limited stocks.

An outstanding example of this ‘Cotes du Rhone’ style which has been made from 70 year old bush vines. The blend consists of 65% Grenache, 22% Mourvedre and 13% Shiraz.
Outstanding colour. Vibrant purple mauve colour. Beautiful scented nose, with notes of raspberry, blackberry and liquorice allsorts emerging. The palate is big and ‘joosy’ loaded with ripe, primary fruit flavours. Black and white pepper are overlaid by layers of raspberry and liquorice. Soft acid backbone. With fine grained tannins, velvet smooth and a very long ‘joosy’ aftertaste of raspberry, blackberry and liquorice.
