2002 Heartland Shiraz

Heartland Wines was created by a small group of leading South Australian wine industry identities including winemaker BEN GLAETZER, fifth generation viticulturist GEOFF HARDY, winemaker SCOTT COLLETT, vineyard manager JOHN PARGETER and wine industry professional GRANT TILBROOK. Ben Glaetzer has produced an impressive Shiraz.
Totally opaque black colour with black crimson hue. The nose is perfumed, with notes of liquorice, violets, blackberry, vanilla and spice emerging. The palate delivers on the expectations aroused on the nose. Big joosy ripe fruit flavours, with liquorice, raspberry, blackberry and spice flavour evident. Mouthfilling. Fine grained tannins. Very long aftertaste of liquorice, plum and blackberry.
