2002 Giaconda Cabernet Sauvignon

A well made Giaconda Cabernet, but without the force that one experiences with the Giaconda Chardonnays. Opaque black crimson colour with deep crimson hue. Aroma of dark chocolate, cedar, spice and blackcurrant. The palate misses out on the ‘wow’ factor, however, it could just be a matter of bottle variation, which is even possible in great wines. Flavours of liquorice allsorts, cedar and spice over a blackcurrant back palate. Fine dry tannins. Aftertaste of plum, spice and stewed fruit.
