2002 Gemtree Vineyards Tatty Road Cabernet Sauvignon Petit Verdot Merlot

Gemtree Vineyards is the home of PAUL AND JILL BUTTERY who have lived in the region for twenty years. The family had a desire to build a quality wine label using the premium fruit off their 300 acres of vineyards located in the heart of McLaren Vale. This is an outstanding Cabernet blend, consisting of 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Petit Verdot and 5% Merlot. Deep crimson colour with deep crimson mauve hue. Superb lifted nose, showing Classic Cabernets characters, violet top note, followed by refined spice and ripe blackcurrant notes. The palate is sophisticated, showing excellent length, depth and complexity. Flavours of cedar, ripe blackcurrant, confectionary and violet infusions permeate the palate and aftertaste.
