Clones 10/5 and 115 have been used. Translucent mauve crimson colour with mauve hue. Perfumed nose, showing strong varietal character. Notes of spice and strawberry jam are evident. Velvet smooth tannins. Flavours of spice, cherry and strawberry followed by a touch of aniseed. Aftertaste of liquorice, cherry and spice.
