This wine is already showing signs of development, with its crimson brick red colour. Aroma of cedar, mulberry, spice and confectionary. The palate does not reveal a lot of depth, with flavours of stewed fruit, confectionary and cedar. Aftertaste of stewed fruit, cedar and spice.

First tasted, October 2003:
Very deep crimson colour with deep crimson hue. Lifted nose of spice and mulberry. The palate has good weight and mouthfeel with primary fruit flavours dominating. Spice and mulberry fruit to the forefront over a peppery background. Good length, fine grained tannins with long aftertaste of liquorice, spice and mulberry.
