Deep crimson colour with deep brick red hue showing some developed character. Aroma of raspberry, cherry and spice followed by confectionary and green tea end notes. The palate is developing and beginning to takes on some Pinot like characters. Flavours of confectionary, stewed plum and leather are overlaid with fine dry tannins. Aftertaste of confectionary, raspberry jam and just a touch of earth.

First tasted, October 2003:
This is a medium bodied soft Beaujolais. Bright crimson mauve colour with mauve hue. Lifted notes of raspberry, cherry and spice emerge. The palate is delicate with flavours of cherries, liquorice and spice emerging. Soft acid finish with delicate cherry aftertaste.
