2002 Casa Freschi La Signora Dry Red

The blend is comprised of 52% Nebbiolo, 34% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9% Shiraz and 5% Malbec. The wine is unfined and unfiltered, and has spent 18 months in French oak barriques. Deep crimson colour with deep crimson hue. Medium body. Superb nose of blackcurrant, cedar, cassis and spice, followed by end notes of dark cherry and confectionary. The wine has length and elegance. The palate flavours are very long with blackcurrant, spice, confectionary and white pepper followed by a wisp of mint. Fine dry tannins with very long aftertaste of confectionary and spice.
