2002 Cape Mentelle Marmaduke Shiraz Grenache Mataro

Very deep crimson colour with deep crimson hue. The nose displays excellent lift, with aroma of raspberry, spice and liquorice followed by a mocca end note. On the palate, flavours of spice, raspberry and stewed fruit followed by a hint of liquorice allsorts. Fine grained tannins, followed by a slightly warm back palate. Aftertaste of liquorice, spice with just a hint of tar emerging.
