2002 Brown Brothers Patricia Cabernet Sauvignon

This is the companion to the 2002 Brown Brothers Patricia Shiraz and let us say from the outset, an equally impressive red without any hint whatsoever of tea leaf (so common in too many Cabernets). This wine was awarded a gold medal and trophy in Perth, as well as a gold medal in Sydney. Opaque black crimson colour with deep crimson black hue. Aroma of cedar, cassis and blackcurrant followed by a hint of truffle and violet – a classic ripe Cabernet sniff. Mouthfilling palate, with flavours of blackcurrant, cedar, cassis and violet infusions. Fine grained, perfectly balanced tannins – Very long aftertaste of blackcurrant and a touch of truffle.
