2002 Blue Pyrenees Estate Reserve Red

This wine is made from a blend of 62% Cabernet Sauvignon, 33% Shiraz, 3 % Merlot and 2% Cabernet Franc.
Very deep, almost opaque black brick red colour with brick red hue. Top note of cedar, followed by a touch of toast, vanilla, new leather and cigar box. The tannins dominate the palate and aftertaste, they are dry, very firm and chalky, overwhelming the fruit. Very dry aftertaste and dry tannins persisting.
