An outstanding red! The Ebenezer Shiraz differs from the E&E largely by the use of a different oak regime. The E&E uses 80% American and 20% French new oak, whilst the Ebenezer is matured in 50% new and 50% 1 - 2 year old American and French oak. The result is a wine of tighter structure, which integrates beautifully with the rich ripe Barossa Shiraz fruit. Very deep, almost opaque black crimson colour with deep crimson hue. Aroma of violets, blackberry and spice, followed by vanilla and confectionary with a black pepper end note emerging. Mouthfilling palate flavours, with excellent weight and perfect balance. Flavours of vanilla, dark chocolate and ripe plum. Fine grained tannins. Very long aftertaste of plum, spice and vanilla. Cellar 3-4 years (2008-2009) Alc/Vol: 14.0%
