2002 Barossa Valley Estate E&E Sparkling Shiraz

A magnificent Sparkling Shiraz. Superb deep black mauve mousse which holds together well. Very fine, persistent bead. Deep brick red colour base wine, showing signs of bottle maturity. The nose is a delight, complex, with top note of spice, earth, truffle, liquorice and plum. Mouthfilling palate – creamy with perfect balance. Flavours of plum, liquorice and old leather emerge, followed by a spicy, black pepper back palate, overlaid with a hint of chocolate and vanilla. Excellent length with long spicy aftertaste.

Perfect with the Christmas turkey. The rich fruity flavours of Sparkling Shiraz bounce off the cranberry sauce to provide a harmonious pairing.
