2002 Arakoon Blewitt Springs Shiraz

This Shiraz was produced from low yielding 60 year old vines, which have been matured in 50% New French Oak. Very deep crimson colour with deep crimson mauve purple hue. Aroma of spice, liquorice, blackberry and mocha followed by a hint of white pepper. The palate displays moderate length, without the power structure that the wines of Clarendon Hill display. Flavours of liquorice allsorts, confectionary, plum and violet infusions emerge. Fine, dry tannins. Aftertaste of cherry, mocha, confectionary, plum, liquorice and white pepper.
