- Closure: Cork
A wine of outstanding structure and finesse! The success of the Australian Wine Industry has not gone unnoticed by some of the worlds most influential wine companies. Yangarra Park is part of California’s Kendall Jackson Wine Estate and utilizes winemaking skills from both hemispheres, resulting in wines of international stature and sophistication that can only drive the Australian wine industry further. In Australia, Peter Fraser is the award winning winemaker who has hands on responsibility for Yangarra Park. Peter is supervised by Randy Ullom, the Californian winemaker who perfected the art of blending at Kendall Jackson.
Tasting Note: Opaque crimson colour. The nose is perfumed with intense aroma of liquorice, blackcurrant and violets – very pronounced varietal character. The palate structure has the refinement that is often evident in the finest Californian Cabernets. Excellent palate weight and concentrated flavours of spice, blackcurrant and cedar. Perfect balance followed by a strong aftertaste of spice, black pepper and blackcurrant. A great Coonawarra Cabernet.
Cellar 4-5 years. (2006-2007)
