2001 Woop Woop Shiraz

This wine captures the essence of ripe flavour-filled Shiraz, sourced from Currency Creek, McLaren Vale and the Riverina, together with a good dose of Aussie humour. The outer packaging is liberally sprinkled with Aussie Woop Woop quirks which give the wine the impression of being an ideal party / barbeque red. At its price it is certainly positioned to provide drinking pleasure whilst going easy on the pocket.

Opaque crimson colour with crimson mauve hue. Lifted nose of vanilla, plum, spice and liquorice showing good varietal character from the riper end of the fruit spectrum. On the palate, flavours of plum, spice and liquorice over a back palate of spice and blackpepper. Fine dryish tannins followed by a long aftertaste of stewed plum and spice. At this price and quality you won’t find a better wine in woop woop! (Or anywhere else.)
