66% of this wine was barrel fermented in French and Russian oak, whilst 34% was fermented in stainless steel. The wine spent 6 months on yeast lees. Bright straw colour, with subtle yeast lees over citrus and spice, followed by pronounced but not excessive oak, with end notes of ripe gooseberry and tropical fruit. Mouthfilling palate flavours with the spicy oak flavour component forming the backbone. Excellent palate weight, crisp acid finish, followed by a long aftertaste of citrus, spice, ripe gooseberry and tropical fruit.
