Very deep black crimson colour with deep crimson hue. Aroma of plum, stewed fruit and spice, followed by vanilla, liquorice and mint. On the palate flavours of mint, liquorice and plum emerge, supported by fine dry tannins. There is a touch of black pepper emerging on the back palate. Aftertaste of plum, liquorice and stewed fruit.

First tasted, December 2004:
This wine has been matured in French and American oak for 15 months and displays very deep crimson colour with deep crimson hue. Aroma of vanilla, spice, plum, violets and confectionary. Moderate palate length, with flavours of vanilla, plum, confectionary and mint emerging, with a hint of black pepper. Fine dry, chalky tannin structure.
