2001 Tierra Salvaje Merlot

The Tierra Salvaje Merlot starts off well, but falls away on the palate. Bright crimson colour. Medium body, with aroma of earth, spice and mulberry with a hint of truffle. On the palate, the earthy flavours are dominant, leaving the plum fruit flavours behind. Some leafy palate flavours emerge over layers of earth, truffle and mulberry. Fine grained, soft tannins, with spicy liquorice aftertaste.
