2001 Te Kairanga Reserve Pinot Noir

Martinborough,
$49. 99
Bottle
$599.88 Dozen
Closure: Cork

We had high hopes for this wine, given the number of very impressive Pinots which have emerged from Martinborough. Deep crimson, brick red colour. Aroma of earth, spice cherry and plum, with just a hint of game. The palate shows moderate length, with flavours of liquorice and smoky oak followed by a dark cherry layer. There is little depth or power, with lingering dry tannins and aftertaste.
