2001 Te Kairanga Chardonnay

The Chardonnay has been entirely barrel fermented and spent 10 months in oak casks prior to bottling. Bright straw colour. Aroma of biscuit, yeast lees, spice, melon and fig. The palate has a distinct white peach flavour, over spice, oak and almonds. Good length, creamy texture, very spicy back palate, followed by soft acid finish and a very long aftertaste of spice, melon, cashew and fig.
