2001 Taylors Shiraz

The 2001 Vintage is shaping up to be outstanding, judging from the barrel tastings, and the early release reds, which are known as ‘entry wines’. Vibrant purple crimson colour, with purple mauve hue. Totally opaque. The nose is youthful and impressive, with lifted notes of spice, blackberry and plum. Mouthfilling youthful palate flavours of inky blackberry, liquorice and spice, which creates a ‘fruit bomb’ flavour profile. Fine dry quite firm, lingering tannins, followed by a long inky blackberry, liquorice aftertaste.
