2001 Salitage Pemberton Dry Red

This wine is composed of a blend of 53% Cabernet Sauvignon, 28% Merlot, 14% Cabernet Franc and 5% Petit Verdot. The wine seems to be prematurely advanced. Very deep brick red colour with brick red hue. Aroma of tea leaf and cedar, followed by a blackcurrant endnote. The palate echoes the nose, with tea leaf and cedar flavours emerging with the fruit falling away. Fine, dry tannins. Aftertaste of tea leaf and cedar.
