2001 Rosemount Estate Show Reserve Hunter Valley Chardonnay

The fruit for this wine has been sourced from the Roxburgh and Giants Creek Vineyards. The fruit was pressed in two ways in order to achieve a greater degree of complexity. A part was whole bunch pressed, whilst the remainder received more intense pressings. The wine has been matured for 10 months in French oak with lees contact. Bright straw colour. The nose is still quite subtle with tropical fruit notes over a peach background. Mouthfilling palate with creamy texture over a background of citrus and tropical fruit. Subtle lees characteristics emerge. Clean acid finish with aftertaste of lees and tropical fruit.
