2001 Rosemount Estate Orange Vineyard Chardonnay

The Orange Vineyard was first established because of its high altitude (800-900 metres above sea level) which results in cool climate wines being produced. A wine that reveals subtlety with complexity. Thr fruit was gently pressed to avoid the presence of phenolic and then transferred to new French oak for primary and malolactic fermentation. Matured for 10 months in new oak.

Bright pale straw colour. The nose displays subtle barrel ferment character. Subdued notes of melon and fig emerge. Creamy texture with subtle spice and white peach flavours. Clean finish with spice and white peach aftertaste.
