2001 RockBare Shiraz

Grape growers, Norm Doole and Paul Buttery have joined forces with winemaker, Tim Burvill to produce a very drinkable and affordable red. Deep crimson colour with mauve crimson hue. The nose is lifted with aroma of spice, plum, stewed fruit and blackpepper. The palate tannin structure is quite soft making the wine suitable for early drinking. Flavours of stewed fruit, spice, blackpepper and liquorice emerge with a tarry back palate, followed by a hint of sour cherry. Long aftertaste of tarry liquorice and stewed fruit.
Cellar 2-3 years. (2004-2005)
