2001 Richard Hamilton Marion Vineyard Grenache Shiraz

The Marion Vineyard is an old vines remnants block which is co-maintained by the citizens of Marion, an Adelaide suburb and the Richard Hamilton Vineyard. The vines are said to date back to 1837. Very deep black crimson colour with black heart. Deep crimson mauve hue. Superb lifted nose, with aroma of raspberry concentrate followed by spice, a hint of earth, violets and truffle. The palate flavour profile is restrained, with fine grained tannin backbone. Aftertaste of raspberry, spice and black pepper.
