2001 Reilly's Dry Land Shiraz

An excellent Shiraz that has been cropped at 1.5 tonnes per acre and matured for 24 months in new American oak. Very deep black crimson colour with deep crimson brick red hue. Lifted aroma of vanilla and spice, followed by blackberry and dark chocolate. The palate has excellent weight and mouthfeel with velvet tannin structure. There is a touch of truffle and earth evident, creating a complexing layer. Flavours of vanilla, blackberry, spice and plum are evident and run well into the aftertaste.
