Fred and Katrina Pizzini’s Italian Heritage has ensured that Italian varietals have been planted on their Lana Trento vineyard in the King Valley. This is a delightful Verduzzo, and an excellent food wine. Bright straw colour. The nose has a range of notes that at first suggests that this wine might be a touch broad, but that is not the case. Aroma of tropical fruit, spice, peach, melon and ripe pears. The palate displays intense, mouthfilling flavours of ripe peaches and ripe pears over a very spicy background. The acidity provides a very crisp acid backbone without any hint of coarseness evident. Exceptionally long aftertaste of pear, ripe cantaloupe and spice.
