2001 Phillip Island Wines Chardonnay

Bright deep straw colour showing oxidative handling. The aroma is quite intense, with notes of biscuit, yeast lees, toasted oak and hazelnut emerging. There is a touch of citrus on the palate, followed by a hint of toasted oak, melon and butterscotch. Soft acid finish. Creamy texture – however the wine lacks length and depth.
