The Pertaringa wines have an elegance and sophistication that has many parallels with the great wines of Bordeaux. That is not to say that they are imitation, but rather that there is an emphasis on pursuing more complex secondary flavours than opting for the simple primary fruit flavours. Bright straw colour. The nose is impressive, with hints of honey and newly cut hay, a hint of vanilla and peach. The palate displays very good weight, with subtle grassy, cut hay and vanilla spice emerging, followed by a delicate citrus back palate. Excellent length, clean acid finish followed by a hint of vanilla oak, spice and cut hay.
