The Rawson’s Retreat is an excellent quaffer. Dark crimson colour with mauve crimson hue. Medium body. Very youthful, yet appealing nose with aroma of liquorice allsorts, spice and ink. On the palate flavours of inky plum, spice and liquorice emerge over a peppery background. Soft tannins. Aftertaste of spice and pepper. Enjoy over the next couple of years.
