2001 Penfolds Cellar Reserve Pinot Noir

The colour of this wine is very advanced and looks like a very old wine indeed. Totally deep tawny brick red colour, with tawny brown hue. Medium body. The nose delivers some perfumed notes with aroma of spice, violets and old leather, a very developed sniff! On the palate, fine dry tannins are meshed with flavours of old aniseed emerging. Aftertaste of old leather, spice and again a touch of aniseed.
