2001 Penbro Estate Pinot Noir

Another contract wine made by Martin Williams. Medium body, bright crimson colour. The nose is a touch off the mark with a distinct off note that does nothing to enhance the wine. Aroma of earth, a hint of game, strawberry and spice, finally emerge. On the palate, subtle varietal flavours emerge with cherry and spice flavours present. Slightly bitter finish, the structure is firm and hard, with little depth or power.
