2001 Paxton Vineyards Shiraz

David Paxton is one of South Australia’s most successful grape growers. The grapes for this wine were sourced from 30 year old vines, which are grown on sandy loam. Very deep crimson colour with deep crimson hue. Aroma of violets, confectionary, ripe plum and dark cherry followed by a subtle raspberry end note. Mouthfilling palate with excellent length and balance. Flavours of raspberry, chocolate, vanilla, confectionary and spice emerge. Fine grained tannins. Very long aftertaste of spice, confectionary, vanilla and raspberry.
