2001 Orlando St. Hugo Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon

A rather tight St Hugo. Opaque crimson colour with deep crimson hue. Aroma of blackcurrant, violet and spice. Perfumed nose showing strong varietal character, with cedar and cigar box endnotes. The palate displays flavours of blackcurrant and cedar, followed by a hint of liquorice. Fine dry tannins, followed by a long blackcurrant, cedar and cassis aftertaste, with dry tannins persisting.
