2001 Narkoojee Chardonnay

An outstanding refined chardonnay, which is becoming more sophisticated with each vintage. Bright, straw colour with green hue. Superb layers of cashews, biscuit, hazelnut and toasted almonds over a melon and fig background. No component leaps over another, and that characteristic is also reflected on the palate. The palate displays great length and complexity with almost seamless layers of flavour. Cashews, biscuit and fig flavours emerge over a spice and subtle yeast lees background. Perfect acidity followed by an exceptionally long aftertaste. This is the sort of Chardonnay that the ABC ( anything but Chardonnay) generation would love.
Cellar 3-4 years (2005-2006).
