2001 Mitchelton Viognier

A Rhone style white which is at its peak. Bright deep straw colour. Delicate exotic notes appear on the nose. Aromas of dried apricot and tropical fruit. The apricot and tropical fruit characteristics re emerge on the palate, however the wine displays only modest length and intensity. A hint of that ripe fruit on the turn flavour emerges but without the power or concentration that the variety is capable of delivering. Soft acid finish.
