2001 Leeuwin Estate Prelude Chardonnay

Bright straw colour. The nose is impressive, with aroma of yeast lees, biscuit and cashew, followed by a melon fig background. The palate has good weight, although not as complex as the previous vintage. Flavours of citrus and grapefruit emerge, followed by yeast lees and cashew. A tighter, leaner style. Crisp acid finish, followed by a long citrus lees aftertaste.
