2001 Journeys End Vineyards Footprints On Maslin Chardonnay

This wine gets its inspiration from nearby Maslin Beach, which turns out to be the local nude beach. We must confess, we know where it is on a map, but have never actually dropped in for a ‘sticky beak’ however we are told that several well known winemakers have been spotted there.Bright straw colour. The grapes have been grown on the Wits End Vineyard in McLaren Vale. Excellent fresh, lifted nose of spice, tropical fruit, melon and peach. Mouthfilling palate with a hint of citrus emerging over the ripe tropical fruit and melon flavours. Excellent length and persistence. Crisp acid finish, with very long melon, spice and tropical fruit aftertaste.
