2001 Inghams Skilly Ridge Merlot

This wine has been matured in French and American oak for 15 months. Very deep crimson colour with mauve crimson hue. The palate is shorter than one would expect from a Clare Valley red, with stewed fruit, sour cherry and spice flavours dominant. Firmish dry tannins. Aftertaste of sour cherry and stewed fruit.
