2001 Hardys Sir James Vintage Pinot Noir Chardonnay

A refined, mouthfilling style of sparkling. Delightful creamy mousse which shows great staying power and is supported by very persistent bead. Pale straw base wine. Excellent, sophisticated nose, with notes of yeast lees, biscuit and brioche emerging. Superb, creamy mouthfeel with plenty of yeast autolysis flavour over hazelnut and an unusual hint of unripe fig. Perfect balance. Long aftertaste of yeast lees, nougat and fig.
