2001 Hardys Padthaway Unwooded Chardonnay

The 2001 Padthaway Chardonnay is crisper than that of the previous year. Bright, deep straw colour. The nose is impressive with distinct aroma of melon, ripe peach and tropical fruit over a yeast lees and spice background. The palate flavours are delicate, with pronounced grapefruit and citrus flavour evident, over a spicy nut lees background. The acid levels are a touch high but will settle down. Aftertaste of citrus, spice and nut.
Cellar 2-3 years (2004-2005).
Alc/Vol 13.5%
