Retasted 09/05/2015: Excellent colour displaying an opaque inky black dark red core and a deep dark red black tinged hue. Pronounced blackcurrant and liquorice aromas overlay toasty cedar, a touch of leather and spice. Full bodied the palate possesses rich up front ripe blackcurrant and liquorice flavours followed by toasty cedar, subtle new leather and spicy earth. Dryish finish with slightly firmish but fine grained tannins. Long aftertaste of ripe blackcurrant, liquorice, toasty cedar, leather and spicy earth.
Drink over the next 1-2 years.

First Tasted November 2011:
The colour of this wine is holding up exceptionally well displaying a totally opaque black dark crimson red colour with deep black dark red hue. Perfumed aromas of violets, ripe blackcurrant and liquorice followed by some emerging leathery notes. The palate is still very much alive possessing rich generous flavours of ripe blackcurrant, cedar and spice followed by some leathery cigar box characters. Dry, slightly firmish but balanced tannins, Excellent depth with long aftertaste of ripe blackcurrant, liquorice, spice and leather.
Cellar a further 1-2 years (2012-2013).
