2001 Fonseca Porto Late Bottled Vintage Port

Late bottled Vintage Port is bottled later than a Vintage Port and since it spends a longer time in wood is ready to drink earlier.

Opaque dark red colour with deep dark brick red hue. The nose is quite perfumed showing a marzipan top note followed by liquorice, Christmas cake and morello cherry. The palate displays excellent spirit integration with flavours of liquorice, black cherry, spice and marzipan which persists on the back palate. Long aftertaste of spice, liquorice, aniseed and marzipan.
Drink now or cellar 4-5 years (2010-2015)
