2001 Ferngrove Semillon Sauvignon Blanc

A new entrant to the market place, with a very well made wine, but having said that, it is without greatness – yet another, me too!
Bright pale straw colour. The nose displays aroma of unripe gooseberries with a hint of tropical fruit over a delicate herbaceous endnote. On the palate, flavours of tropical fruit and ripe gooseberries, with a spicy background. Excellent balance, followed by spice and tropical fruit aftertaste. Cellar 1 – 2 years. (2002 – 2003)
